Blazers are the workhorse of my fall wardrobe. I hoard styles in houndstooth, velvet, boucle, tweed, herringbone, plain old wool, etc. I don’t discriminate against colors either – earth tones, bright hues and plaid all make the cut too. Single-breasted, double-breasted, peplum, cropped, or long, I have never met a style I didn’t like.
I adore shirtdresses. They are flattering, effortless, and make the perfect transition pieces as we move into fall. Wear them to the office, shopping with the girls, and pretty much anywhere in between.
Is there anything better than a lightweight, cotton frock on a sweltering, humid day? I don’t think so either. A summer wardrobe staple wardrobe, the humble cotton dress deserves some serious love. Come August, I practically live in sweet, breezy numbers like this one.
I am on a seersucker kick at the moment, and for good reason! This lovely seersucker and lace shirtdress was meant for summer days meandering around the countryside. And so, my friends, that is exactly what I did.
