This season, my favorite color is having a moment. That’s right. Green is finally getting the fashion credit it deserves. Perfect for spring and summer, this cheery, fun color is slightly unexpected and universally flattering with a plethora of shades to work with.  So, you can imagine my delight when I found so many lovely green frocks this season!

Excluding the tried and true, much beloved Lilly Pulitzer who has never let me down in the green shift dress department, it’s brilliant to have options in different styles that can carry a girl through work, happy hour and, if it’s a particularly crazy night, brunch the next day! Just kidding. As a bonafide grown-up who requires sleep, I don’t have very many (any?) nights like that anymore. Still, I like knowing it’s at least an option in any one of these pretty picks.

Spring Style - Green Dress - Pink Clutch - Detail

Here, I am wearing a short sleeve day dress in a green floral print from Draper James (an insanely cute brand I recently came across). Not only does the dress have scallop detailing on the hem, but it also has pockets! (A big bonus in my book.) I paired it with a pair of  gold, pointy flats and a pink clutch with gold accents. (Is it just me or do green and pink transform into neutrals when paired together?)

For jewelry, I chose my go-to pearl studs plus an oversized pink ring because, well, I thought it looked pretty (not complicated). On a side note, Alexis Bittar makes seriously cool, gigantic cocktail rings if you want the look without spending a bundle.

For whatever reason, there has been a major shortage of green on the racks until now. I hope these picks inspire you to color correct by adding some pretty green pieces to your wardrobe! (I know you have a little room next to all that navy!) 😉

PS: Wearing such an unabashedly preppy color combo like pink and green in the city is a major guilty pleasure for me. Just another reason to love spring!
